Viral photo of Warriors' Draymond Green wearing a pro-COVID vaccine shirt is fake

It's little wonder the photo went viral, as both affirmation that there are NBA stars besides LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo who are publicly pro-vaccine and as the perfect reprieve to teammate Andrew Wiggins' vehement silence on his vaccination status. In fact, the photo was retweeted by "The Good Place" and "Parks and Recreation" creator Mike Schur on Tuesday afternoon.

But alas, the photo isn't real. And if you don't believe the subpar Photoshop job — the shirt's wrinkles magically covered up with the new print — the original shot was shared by former ESPN reporter Rachel Nichols all the way back in 2017, when Green was wearing a shirt with a cupcake on it, complete with the Oklahoma City Thunder's colors.
