Golden State Warriors President Rick Welts used Salesforce’s big Dreamforce confab Wednesday to unveil animation of the team’s proposed 18,500-seat arena at San Francisco's Mission Bay.
But will it come true?
The walk-through view of the arena was the centerpiece of Welt’s appearance on a convention panel to discuss “building a world-class organization.”
The arena has the support of Mayor Ed Lee and many other politicians in the city, but it’s opposed by some heavyweight backers of the neighboring UCSF Medical Center, who want to reserve the land for the hospital complex’s possible expansion.
