Lakers legend Shaquille O'Neal singled out the Nuggets as a good first-round matchup specifically for the Lakers, which wasn't the question, but with Jamal Murray out of the season with a busted knee, also isn't wrong.
(Note: Shaq also said Denver wing Michael Porter Jr. has looked Klay Thompson-ish, which we'll just call a blog post for another day).
Two-time WNBA MVP Candace Parker followed Shaq's lead, saying the Clippers would be a good first round matchup if you're specifically the Dallas Mavericks, which again wasn't the question, but is also an interesting answer (they dispatched of Dallas 4-2 last year, including a 154-111 Game 5 rout with the series tied, before losing in a shocking seven-game series to the Nuggets).
