For any Golden State Warriors fans who thought that the Sacramento Kings’ “Light the Beam” gimmick was annoying, the Kings have a newer and worse stunt for this year.
The Kings have been handing out a silly little crown to the “Defensive Player of the Game” for the team after each win.
Unlike the Beam, which could only be activated after home wins, the crown has been traveling with the Kings this season, meaning players get awarded this headgear whether they’re at home or on the road.
