My initial thought after watching the Warriors limp away from Game 4 with the slimmest of slim victories: This series is going to kill me. Obviously, I’d much rather enjoy fun and exciting things, but that’s just not in the cards at the moment, not in such an irritatingly evenly-fought brawl. This is the type of series that could very well cement itself as an instant classic for the neutrals, but who among us is neutral when it comes to Golden State? For those of us clinging to the hopes of a title defense or at least the dynasty staving off the infamy of a first-round exit, it mostly amounts to spiked blood pressure and incoherent muttering.
