Oakland’s Madeline Kenney has had a lot of jobs since getting an undergraduate degree in neurobiology: She’s worked in restaurants and jewelry stores and as a baker, doula, teacher and touring musician.
One job she has not had is Golden State Warriors beat writer for the Bay Area News Group. That’s a different Madeline Kenney, who lives in San Francisco.
“I was getting tagged in all these indie pop music accounts, and I looked her up on Spotify,” the writer told SFGATE. “A few of my friends were actually fans of her music before I knew she existed.
