The 2019 All-Star draft will be televised

Last season, the NBA changed the rules for the All-Star game, in a hope to make it more competitive, and more compelling. Rather than pitting the 12 All-Stars from each conference against each other, the leading vote-getters from each conference got to draft their teams.

It was a terrific change, and rather than West vs East, we got Team Steph Curry vs Team LeBron James. However, one thing was missing - the captains weren’t televised drafting the players, so there was limited suspense.

But that’s changing. For the upcoming 2019 NBA All-Star Game, the captains will draft their teams on a TNT broadcast.
