Takeaways from Warriors HQ: Andrew Wiggins’ injury, an ‘AAU practice’ and more

SAN FRANCISCO — When the Warriors suited up for practice Monday, there were a few missing faces. Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry were all in Los Angeles at Kobe Bryant’s memorial service, while injuries kept two other starters sidelined.

Most notably, coach Steve Kerr said Andrew Wiggins had suffered a leg contusion Sunday against New Orleans. A calf injury kept Marquese Chriss on the bench during the loss, and he didn’t participate in practice Monday, either. Kerr said both of them, along with Green, are questionable for Tuesday night.

The Warriors were down to six healthy players, leaving Kerr to compare Monday’s get together to an AAU practice.
