Steve Kerr's Michael Jordan NBA title parade roast shows trust earned

Warriors coach Steve Kerr played the hero in Game 6 of the 1997 NBA Finals between the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz.

With the score tied, the eight-time NBA champion drilled what proved to be the game-winning jump shot with 5.0 seconds remaining.

"The ultimate trust from Michael (Jordan) comes in the playoffs if you come through," Kerr explained during episode No. 9 of "The Last Dance" documentary. "I think he respected me because he knew I fought and I was competitive and I worked and I got the most out of myself. But I hadn't performed very well in the Finals.
