Steve Kerr on the NBA allowing medical marijuana: “I think it’ll happen.”

OAKLAND — Former NBA commissioner David Stern said the league should allow its players to use marijuana for medicinal purposes in a Al Harrington documentary, “The Concept of Cannabis,” a viewpoint Warriors coach Steve Kerr agreed with on Wednesday night.

“I do think it’ll happen eventually,” said Kerr prior to Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Raptors.

Kerr, who has admitted to using the drug in the past, specifically during his rehabilitation from back surgery in 2015, said the drug is a healthy alternative to common pain remedies such as opiods.
