Steve Kerr gives Warriors one last joke before taking medical leave of absence

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr wasn’t at Thursday’s practice, but his fun-loving spirit was definitely in the downtown Oakland facility.

As he recovers from two offseason back surgeries, Kerr has decided to take a medical leave of absence for an unspecified amount of time. In his stead, lead assistant Luke Walton will act as interim head coach.

So, it was Walton who got to explain Kerr’s latest method for keeping practices interesting. The Warriors brought in NBA impersonator Brandon Armstrong, who showcased his impressions of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Jarron Collins and then left the players with his grand finale on Kerr.
