LOS ANGELES — Before he would address how his Clippers team could somehow steal another win over the Golden State Warriors, Clippers coach Doc Rivers wanted to address something more important.

Rivers was joking. But he sort of wasn’t. Even with the Warriors and Clippers squaring off for Game 3 in their tied first-round series on Friday, Rivers devoted part of his afternoon doing things besides watching film and studying scouting reports.
