In their first game post-Stephen Curry’s injury, the Golden State Warriors took care of business with a 141-114 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. It didn’t start effortlessly, as the Thunder kept it even in a close first half. As the game went on, the Warriors controlled the game’s pace and cruised to victory. Klay Thompson, the Thunder’s perpetual nemesis, had a season-high 42 points on 12 threes. Hearteningly, he played within the offense and took high-quality shots. Jordan Poole stepped into the Steph role and had one of his best-ever games as a Warrior. He poured in 21 points (16 in the second half), 12 assists on just 2 turnovers, and controlled the game’s pace and flow.
