Stephen Curry: The greatest superstar that almost never was

Coming out of Davidson as a junior, Stephen Curry was highly touted as a shooter for obvious reasons, but there were concerns over what position he would play. He wasn’t physically imposing, was thought of more as a spot-up shooter, and his ankle injuries raised some red flags through the draft process (which would prove to be valid).

“He probably is never going to end up being a star in the league because of a lack of explosiveness (meaning he will be a huge defensive liability). He should be able to hang around the league because of the all-around offensive package he brings to the table.
