Stephen Curry diagnosed with Grade 2 MCL sprain, will be re-evaluated in three weeks

Stephen Curry suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night, which will cause him to miss at least the next three weeks before he is re-evaluated.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported this and it was subsequently confirmed by Warriors PR.

Steph Curry suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee, league source tells ESPN. He will be re-evaluated in three weeks. He could return near start of playoffs. All in all, good news for the Warriors.

The Grade 2 MCL sprain is the same as the one Kevin Durant suffered last season against the Washington Wizards that caused him to miss five-and-a-half weeks of action.
