Counting the playoffs, this was the 308th win since Steve Kerr took over as head coach of the Golden State Warriors. I watched the previous 307, and I’m having a hard time remembering a win I enjoyed less than this one.
Ultimately, the Warriors beat the Atlanta Hawks 106-94, and that counts for something. A silver lining, maybe.
But the story was unquestionably Stephen Curry. Curry returned to the lineup for the first time in weeks, with his right ankle finally healthy enough to go. After a mesmerizing performance in which he scored 29 points on 18 shots in just 25 minutes, he left the game with a left knee strain.
