One would think 10-time Grammy Award winner Carlos Santana has done the National Anthem hundreds of times in his career. But Sunday in Oakland at the NBA Finals marked only the fourth occasion.
“I am very selective,” Santana said before the game. “It has to mean a lot to me.”
Santana, who is from San Francisco, has been a Warriors fan since 1975.
“It’s a wonderful time in the Bay Area with the Giants winning last year and the Warriors all the way in now,” Santana, 67, said. “I claim all the local sports teams.
