Requiem

When the Golden State Warriors’ season ended on June 13th, I was in a metal tube hurtling through the air at Mach 0.8, frantically refreshing a combination of Twitter, ESPN, and WhatsApp to track what the heck was going on at Oracle. The ebbs and flows of the game were reduced to 280 character status updates. Somehow, through it all, United WiFi mostly held up its end of the bargain. I read about Game 6 Klay and the triangle and two defense. I cheered as the Warriors put themselves in position to maybe, improbably, push the NBA Finals to a seventh game.
