Report: Warriors' Steve Kerr makes offer to top assistant

Mike Brown may be the guy to replace Luke Walton as the Warriors' top assistant coach.

Brown, who has helmed the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers, was offered the gig by Golden State coach Steve Kerr, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski. Details of any potential deal are reportedly still to be worked out.Brown was among a handful of candidates for the assistant coach position made available when Walton agreed in April to become the head coach of the Lakers next season.Brown was NBA Coach of the Year in 2009, when the Cavaliers reached the Eastern Conference finals before falling to the Orlando Magic.
