Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green are temporary teammates on Team USA for the Olympic Games, but it sounds like the Dubs front office has discussed making that partnership much lengthier.
The Lillard-to-Golden State rumors have circulated for a month or so, since Lillard started floating his dissatisfaction with the state of his current squad. The Athletic's John Hollinger wrote in June that "Golden State has enough interesting pieces to actually make [a trade] plausible," and then he suggested one such potential deal: "Lillard and [Jusuf] Nurkic to the Warriors for [Andrew] Wiggins, [James] Wiseman, Jordan Poole, Eric Paschall, picks 7 and 14 in 2021 and the Warriors’ first-round picks in 2022 and 2026.
