With 9:46 left in the second quarter of Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday night, Kevin Durant went down grabbing his lower right leg. Dr. Rick Celebrini, the team’s medical director, with Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala, assisted Durant off the court.
Fans feared that Durant suffered an Achilles injury that has stalled careers for athletes such as teammates DeMarcus Cousins and Jonas Jerebko, both of whom were out for a year after their injuries.
