WASHINGTON — There’s no invitation yet for a visit with President Trump, but the Golden State Warriors have a standing offer from House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco and East Bay Rep. Barbara Lee to come to the U.S. Capitol to celebrate their NBA championship.
There’s been much speculation about whether the team would accept an invitation from the White House. In the meantime, Pelosi and Lee said Tuesday that the Warriors and their families would be welcome on Capitol Hill, describing the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue as “the heart of our democracy.
