Ever since Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors, the rivalry between him and Russell Westbrook was on. What ensued was both players having perhaps the biggest years of their individual careers.
Durant won his first NBA Championship and was named NBA Finals MVP. Westbrook finished with the most triple-double performances in a season in NBA history and won the regular season MVP award. Despite the split, it ended up working out well for both of them.
While there was a feud initially, it seemed to all be squashed during All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, when Durant and Westbrook teamed together.
