PORTLAND — Saturday night, after his postgame shower, Damian Lillard stopped in front of a TV adjacent to the Trail Blazers’ locker room.
It was Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr addressing reporters on the flat screen. After watching the news conference for a few moments, Lillard sauntered to his locker, put on his dress shirt and tie, and headed down the hallway to address his own media contingent.
The two-time All-Star missed the Kerr quote that surely would’ve irked him: “He’s a lot like Steph (Curry).”
Multiple times this season, Lillard has shot down comparisons to the league MVP.
