Jonathan Kuminga has been on a rollercoaster ride with the Golden State Warriors. It seemed like there was a chance it'd come to an end over the summer in a sign-and-trade, but he and the organization agreed on a two-year, $48.5 million deal. You have to wonder if there is a part of him that wishes he had taken his qualifying offer instead, allowing him to choose his next team in free agency.
He is making $22.5 million this season, considerably more than his $7.9 million qualifying offer. The whole reason behind his current contract, though, was putting him on a tradable salary with a team option in the second season.
