In an effort to keep up with the ever-changing viewing habits of consumers, NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California this morning announced the launch of “MyTeams,” a customized app that provides live-game streaming, as well as pre- and post-game shows, news and analysis pegged to the region’s professional teams.
Executives at the regional sports cable networks are heralding “MyTeams” as the area’s “most comprehensive, all-in-one sports app.”
Mobile devices have dramatically changed how consumers — especially younger ones — follow their favorite teams. According to recent data from YouTube and Google, more than a quarter of the nation’s sports fans are streaming sports to their mobile devices.
