Even those closest to the Golden State Warriors are confused by how the play-in works — and explaining it almost made Draymond Green late to practice.
On his eponymous podcast, Green started his Monday episode with a preview of Tuesday’s Warriors-Kings matchup by explaining the play-in situation. He included a conversation he had with his mother-in-law Monday to illustrate how complicated the whole thing is:
“I had a conversation with her that almost made me late for practice today,” Green said, saying the conversation lasted seven to 10 minutes.
