NBA Gameday: Curry, Pelicans' stars out for Durant's return

OAKLAND -- All eyes will be on Kevin Durant Saturday night, mostly because he’s making his first appearance in 39 days but also because the big stage will be a lot less crowded than usual.

When the Warriors take the court at Oracle Arena, they’ll be without Stephen Curry, sidelined with a knee injury. And their opponents, the New Orleans Pelicans will be without All-Star big men DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis.

Those are the conditions under which Durant will return to action and the Warriors (65-14) will chase their 14th consecutive victory, while simultaneously shifting into a postseason mindset.
