Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue suddenly finds himself with a new, familiar counterpart. Steve Kerr’s return doesn’t really change much for Lue, who still offered a gracious reaction to Sunday’s news that Kerr, not Mike Brown, will coach the Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
“It’s just great to see him back,” Lue said. “Steve Kerr is a guy I respected even before he started coaching. I just like who he is as a person, and throughout the course of the playoffs I’ve checked on him, and we text and talk.
