This letter is in response to the recent EB Times story on Mike Shumann explaining his side of what happened in his firing from KGO last May (“Shumann claims he tried to do right thing,” Page C1, July 21).
When the story initially came out about his being fired, I could not believe it. It didn’t make sense that he was being accused of stealing a Warriors security official’s jacket. He’s a respected, long-time sports announcer. Why would he steal a jacket he could easily purchase himself? Why would he do such a foolish thing?
