Something like the Lakers' worst-case scenario played out on Wednesday night at the Chase Center.
Not only did the Warriors manhandle them in a 121-106 loss that sends the series back to Southern California, but their stars took a beating, too. The game was too close much of the way (until the final three minutes, really) for Lakers coach Darvin Ham to hoist the white flag. That meant that LeBron James carried a heavy load of 39 minutes, above his average for these playoffs. James was limping after making a basket at the end of the third quarter, but remained in the game until the Dubs salted it away.
