Klay Thompson's oblivious victory rankled Warriors' Steph Curry just a bit

For a hypercompetitive person, it’s inevitably annoying to see someone else win. It’s even more annoying when the winner is blissfully unaware of what they’ve done.

During the Warriors’ final regular season game Sunday, Klay Thompson took the title of the NBA’s most accurate man from the free-throw line. His 92.7% rate was tops in the league — just barely. He wasn’t even eligible for the crown going into the game, but five charity-stripe buckets against the Jazz put him over the statistical minimum of 125 free throws made. He just edged out teammate Steph Curry, who came in at 92.
