Klay Thompson will not re-sign with Warriors, joins Mavericks on three-year deal

The Splash Brothers era is officially over in Golden State as Klay Thompson is set to leave the Warriors for the Dallas Mavericks this offseason.

According to multiple reports, Thompson is signing a three-year, $50 million deal with the Mavs as part of a sign-and-trade. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was first to report, though The Athletic's Anthony Slater said the Warriors have not agreed to any deal just yet.

Thompson's time in the Bay Area comes to an end after 13 seasons, during which he was one half of arguably the greatest backcourt in NBA history alongside Steph Curry.
