Klay Thompson is apparently set to signal the Grand Prix of Sonoma’s start Sunday.
You can bet Thompson is going to have fun.
The Warriors guard was named Grand Marshal of the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma on Sept. 15-17, the Sonoma Raceway announced Tuesday.
Make that two years in a row for the Splash Brothers — by extension — since Stephen Curry’s wife, Ayesha, had that role at last year’s Verizon IndyCar Series season finale.
Thompson will say the ceremonial “Drivers, start your engines” and wave the green flag after taking part in pre-race activities, according to the Sonoma Raceway.
