Klay Thompson is now the 10th-leading scorer in Warriors history

Thursday was a big day for All-Star Klay Thompson. The shooting guard for the Golden State Warriors has a fairly typical game, by his standards: 19 points on just 14 shots, and a pair of three-pointers.

But those 19 points had a lot of significance. Thompson entered the game with 9,995 points, just one shy of Joe Barry Carrol in the franchise ranks. With his first basket of the game, Thompson moved into 10th place all-time in franchise scoring. Just a minute later, he eclipsed the impressive 10,000 points mark.

This is the 72nd season of Warriors basketball, so entering the ranks of the top ten is no small feat.
