Kevon Looney does not play second half with hamstring tightness

SAN FRANCISCO — Kevon Looney was slated to play up to 20 minutes in the Golden State Warriors’ regular season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers at Chase Center.

He played 11:22 minutes in the first half and precatonarily did not return for the second with right hamstring tightness. It was the same hamstring that sidelined him for the preseason.

Kevon Looney (Right hamstring tightness) will not return to tonight’s game. Precautionary.

Looney was arguably the best defender and most active on the glass in his limited time; he recorded nine rebounds, five offensive and four defensive, in the first half with a 3-pointer.
