OAKLAND – The two players will remain forever different in skillset and personality. But on a Warriors team built on championship pedigree and star power, Nick Young and Patrick McCaw have two things in common.
Both have spent the 2017-18 season competing for playing time as Golden State’s backup shooting guard. Both have spent that time struggling to convince Warriors coach Steve Kerr which player he should prefer.
“They’re both doing well and both giving us good minutes,” Kerr said.
