Monday was a bizarre night for media in Los Angeles to cover the Warriors-Lakers game. After both coaches and only five players — Steph Curry, Gary Payton II, Lonnie Walker IV, LeBron James and Anthony Davis — hit the podium, the Lakers’ goofily named arena was evacuated and everyone had to go home. (Whatever caused the evacuation was apparently minor.)
If fans wanted to glean anything behind carefully honed press conference platitudes, then they were at the mercy of reporters who were able to be in the locker room after the game.
