SAN FRANCISCO — The last time the Golden State Warriors faced the Los Angeles Lakers, hope glimmered.
Steph Curry was healthy, but the tall and powerful Lakers won three-of-four preseason games against a Golden State offense attempting to run its once-prolific off-ball offense through a mostly inexperienced team.
The Pacific Division rivals will face each other again on Wednesday night, for a real-deal game this time. And a lot has changed. This Warriors are almost entirely in the hands of a young squad.
Without Curry, the Warriors are running more pick n’ rolls. The offense has simplified.
