That’s when Curry showed up at Chase Center sporting a hat from Laces, an apparel company founded by a Santa Clara University alumnus who grew up in and lives in the Bay Area. Curry’s decision to wear the company’s hat featuring “Bay Area” written upside down and arched, a popular look recently in the sports-adjacent fashion world, put Jeff Chu, the CEO and founder of Laces, and his team into a frenzy.
