How Damian Jones will try to cement a long-term future with the Warriors

SACRAMENTO – The learning never stops.

One moment, Damian Jones has learned how to shed his rust after missing nearly half of last season with an injury. Another moment, he has learned how to defend without fouling. After three games playing here with the Warriors’ summer-league team in the “California Classic,” Jones will skip Las Vegas summer league so he can take two classes at Vanderbilt University as part of his effort to complete his college degree.

It only seemed fitting that Jones will take classes on finance and accounting as well as one on negotiations. James enters the fourth year of his NBA career next season in hopes to solidify his future as an unrestricted free agent next summer.
