It’s going to take a miracle for the Golden State Warriors to compete for the title this year. The gaps in their lineup left by Kevin Durant‘s decision and Klay Thompson‘s injury are going to halt any championship aspirations.
Combined, Durant and Thompson accumulated 40 percent of the Warriors points per game last season. Finding a way to replace this offensive production will be nearly impossible for Golden State.
Furthermore, the Dubs will struggle to recover defensively without two of their most versatile defenders. New additions such as D’Angelo Russell only compound the Warriors’ potential issues on defense.
