Maverick Carter appeared on Bleacher Reports Uninterrupted to talk basketball with Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green. During their conversation, Carter had some criticism for Stephen Curry‘s defensive capabilities.
“The world knows Steph (Curry) can’t f–king play defense. I’m 38 — haven’t played a decent game of basketball in 18 years — Steph would have trouble guarding me,” Carter said.
He later explained that though Curry is an excellent off-ball defender, it is up to Green and Klay Thompson to cover up for Curry in every other aspect defensively.
In typical Curry fashion, he chose to take the high road rather than go back and forth with Carter.
