Former Cleveland Cavalier, Will Cherry, is expected to sign a brief contract with the Golden State Warriors. Cherry will be present next week when the Warriors begin their yearly training camp. If he plays well enough, he could find himself playing in the Dubs first pre-season game on September 29th, versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Cherry is a 6ft point guard who played shortly for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2014-15 NBA season. He played just 8.6 minutes per game and averaged 1.9 points. Cherry appeared in only eight games before being cut from the team.
Since then, he has been playing overseas.
