The Golden State Warriors have secured a trip to the NBA Finals, and they have done so without dropping a single game at Chase Center. After defeating the Dallas Mavericks, 120-110 in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, the Dubs made it nine straight home playoff games without a loss.
That’s not only a streak for this particular postseason, it’s a streak that stretches to the brief history of the Chase Center’s entire existence.
The streak is also a record. Of the 29 NBA arenas around the country — the horribly-named Crypto.com Arena is still shared between the two Los Angeles franchises — no team has ever had an inaugural playoff home win streak hit nine games.
