Prior to the 2020 trade deadline, the Golden State Warriors dealt D’Angelo Russell. At the start of the season, this move seemed inevitable, but as the season dragged and the losses mounted, Russell’s place in Golden State continued to solidify.

The fit was never there, but we never truly were able to see how Russell would’ve fit alongside Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry. That’s the one reason why many thought Bob Myers wasn’t going to jump the gun on a trade until the offseason.

However, he did, and he got a solid haul in return.
