Golden State Warriors: 3 pros to trading the team’s 2020 first-round pick

The one thing that typically accompanies the No. 1 overall pick is the worst record in the league. Well, until the NBA Draft Lottery, the Warriors will be projected to snag that pick given their league-worst 15-50 record.

However, it’s unlikely that the team with the worst record would pass up on a prime opportunity to get the best prospect entering the NBA.

The Warriors are different though. Given the stardom on their team, it doesn’t come at a shock that they’ll consider trading their first-round pick, one that was only retained because the team put a top-20 protection on it.
