On Monday, September 19th, the Warriors, in partnership with Kaiser Permanente and Playworks, visited McCollam Elementary School in San Jose for a Get Fit Time Out event for over 300 students. Warriors Guard Patrick McCaw and Assistant Coach Mike Brown spoke to students about the importance of physical activity and healthy eating, and participated in various activities to get students fit and moving.
Brown addressed the students, “You don’t have to be professional athletes, just to work out. You have a great playground; go to the playground on a daily basis. Go exercise. It will help your body get stronger, stop you from getting sick and you’ll be in a great mood on a daily basis if you’re working out.
