Even before they worked together at TNT for eight years, famed play-by-play man Marv Albert and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr started getting to know each other.
Albert was working for NBC during the Chicago Bulls’ historic run in the 1990s, and when Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman didn’t feel like talking to the media, Kerr was seemingly always available.
“I used to think that he was actually preparing ad libs, and he’d be looking for people to talk to, which was sad,” Albert joked.
