OAKLAND – As the Warriors navigate through an injury-plagued season, Warriors coach Steve Kerr is using the time to tinker with the center position.

Little more than a month ago, Kerr made the decision to bring center Zaza Pachulia off the bench in favor of JaVale McGee, citing a need for better defensive starts to games.

Since the decision, McGee and Pachulia have alternated starting roles in the frontcourt, as Kerr lets the other team’s frontcourt dictate his decision, even starting third-year forward Kevon Looney at center during the team’s 117-107 win over the Phoenix Suns.
